About Us

Officially named Four Girls Memorial Library, the Library Media Center provides materials to support the curriculum of Pembroke Academy and the educational mission of the Pembroke School District.

Collection: Resources include over 13,000 books and audio-visual items, as well as subscriptions to 30 magazines and three daily newspapers. Information services such as databases of periodicals, current events, and reference sources are also provided. (See Research Databases for more information.)

Equipment: Four desktop computers are available for use in the library. Students are able to print from the desktops. Old-school equipment such as DVD players, video cameras, and video/data projectors are still available to borrow. The library has video editing software for students and teachers to use for video projects. The library also lends graphing calculators.

Borrowing privileges: Circulating books may be borrowed for three weeks. Other items may be borrowed on a case-by-case basis. There are no overdue fines, but seriously overdue books may result in restriction of library privileges, so please be mindful of when materials are due. Community members are always welcome to use the library and borrow materials.

Interlibrary loans: Books may be borrowed from other libraries in the state if our library cannot provide what you need. Also, periodical articles which are not available in our library can often be obtained from the New Hampshire State Library. Just ask!

Hours: During the school year, Monday-Friday, 7:10-4:00.
